README
Status: concept and pitch prototype, May 2026.
What: Uitwijken.nl is a society-owned civic community layer for Amsterdam and, eventually, other Dutch places. It combines two axes that existing platforms keep separate: where you are and what you care about. The result is an instant community model for a house, street, buurt, city, province, country, or any other meaningful civic layer.
Core distinction: Uitwijken.nl is not a government platform, not a company platform, and not another engagement feed. It is intended to be from, for, and by society: a shared digital layer where residents, government, and entrepreneurs can understand what is happening locally, make decisions, coordinate services, discover events, and move into physical-world action.
Why this folder exists
This folder captures the current concept as a location-and-theme civic operating layer:
- Location cascades from house to street to buurt to city and beyond.
- Themes organize public life across healthcare, safety, youth, events, services, budgets, planning, and local initiatives.
- Three roles participate: Bewoner, Overheid, and Ondernemer.
- The platform turns scattered civic information into structured decisions, events, questionnaires, and action.
The immediate goal is a proof-of-concept convincing enough for a conversation with Amsterdam innovation leadership.
