Main Risk

The main risk is not technology. It is organizational clarity. If Uitwijken.nl cannot explain who owns it, who funds it, who builds it, and why Amsterdam should care, the idea will remain interesting but unsupported.

Risks To Counter-Design

Looks Like Another Neighborhood App

If the first screen is a feed, people will compare Uitwijken.nl to Nextdoor, Facebook groups, WhatsApp, or Reddit. The prototype must lead with the location-plus-theme backbone.

Too Government-Owned

If the product feels like a municipal portal, it loses the society-owned premise. Government should be a participant and enabler, not the platform owner.

Too Abstract

The concept can sound like infrastructure theory. The proof-of-concept must show concrete flows: zoom map, choose theme, answer question, find event, see plan, understand roles.

No Team

A next phase without a project lead and organizational owner will likely stall before the product questions are tested.

Data Without Action

A beautiful map of information is not enough. Every important object should point toward a next action: attend, respond, vote, comment, offer help, ask a question, join a board.

Funding Without Sustainability

One grant can fund a demo, but not the civic layer. The funding model must be part of the design, even if it remains unresolved.

What The Minouch Conversation Should Test

Does Amsterdam innovation recognize the location-plus-theme civic layer as useful?
Is there appetite for a proof-of-concept around open data, events, questionnaires, and local participation?
Which live policy question, budget, neighborhood, or theme could anchor a pilot?
Who inside or around the municipality could sponsor the next phase?
What form of society-owned governance would be credible in the Netherlands?

Concrete Next Steps

Build a map-first proof-of-concept with six screens.
Prepare a short pitch flow: problem, backbone, demo, governance, ask.
Identify one Amsterdam geography and one theme for a plausible pilot.
Define the minimum team and budget for a 6 to 10 week discovery/prototype phase.
